Welcome to The SEMA Show.
Now in its 50th year, The SEMA Show is still the world premier automotive trade show in the world, and we at Lowered Lifestyle are honored to have had the privilege to attend this monumental event once again.
As we showed you in our first article of SEMA week, it’s not all fun and games. Preparation takes months, but it all culminates into a few days of polished glory for everyone involved. The slogan for this year was “We Built This,” and those words could not be more true. Ironically, setting up The SEMA Show is just like building a car. A million little pieces are spread out everywhere, it looks nothing like what it’s supposed to, and sometimes it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.. But when you finally finish, the sense of relief and pride in what you have built is overwhelming. People from all over the world come together during this one week in November every year to build something. We build cars, we build products, we build connections, and we build the greatest car show on the planet.
Speaking of people… SEMA would not be SEMA without the people involved. It’s not just about the cars – its the cars that bring us together. While shooting, we were approached by so many builders, owners, and companies. It was a welcomed relief to not have to seek them out. Instead, everyone is so outgoing and willing to talk to you about what brought them to SEMA. SEMA is a medium through which friendships, connections, and networks are forged. We are so grateful for the people that we were able to meet this week, and we’re sure we’re not the only ones.
It has been exciting to watch the growth of the automotive industry in the past year, and we cannot wait to see what it has in store for us next year!
